Cura layer view missing
WebSep 2, 2024 · I just installed the new cura 2.7, and now when I want to look at my prints in layer view it wont re-slice it and only shows the grey outline of the object. Even as I adjust which layer height it's on, all it shows is that its on the 1st layer and nothing changed. Thanks for the help! WebApr 22, 2024 · Missing surfaces will be drawn in red in X-ray view. If you try to slice it, but your design is broken, Ultimaker Cura will not be able to generate layers for it, resulting in missing layers. Should this occur, you can repair your model using tools like Meshmixer or Netfabb. Layer view.

Somewhere there are walls that don't fully enclose a volume. It is then ambiguous what the inside is of the model. In this case, Cura is wrong there on the bottom and in the corner at the top.

Maybe retraction is high, or extra material on start is on and negative. Maybe the nozzle is just doing something funky when it starts a new layer.
